Lupa do Bem, an initiative dedicated to fostering the growth of small and medium-sized social organizations in Latin America, has won the 2024 Impactos Positivos Award in the Impact Ecosystems category as “Dynamizers.” The winners were chosen through public voting and an evaluation by a panel of specialized judges, based on socio-environmental and economic impact, innovation, and execution quality.

In three years of operation, Lupa do Bem has mapped and integrated over 400 small and medium-sized NGOs into its network, impacting more than 15,000 people directly and indirectly. With a journalistic approach, the initiative interviews leaders of these causes, highlighting the real impact they have on their communities, as well as the main challenges they face. As an extension of the coverage, the project also features the LupaCast podcast, which serves as an informative bulletin on the main topics addressed.

In addition to providing visibility for NGOs, Lupa do Bem plays an educational role, supporting the formalization and strengthening of activities within the third sector. The project has created a collection of three free e-books (all of them in Portuguese): Resource Mobilization Guide, How to Start an NGO, and Volunteering in Organizations, the latter launched this month. With accessible language and practical document templates, these materials are available for free download on the website.

“Receiving the Impactos Positivos Award is a recognition of the work we have done with so much dedication,” says Fabiana Rosa, co-founder and coordinator of Lupa do Bem. “This award is a celebration not only for us, but for all the NGOs and community leaders who dedicate their lives to transforming the local reality. It is an honor to help amplify these voices and extend the positive impact they generate.”
