Negritudes Festival discusses black narratives in audiovisual pieces

The free event takes place this Tuesday (3) with a focus on discussing and celebrating black narratives in the audiovisual area.

The Festival Negritudes Globo, which takes place at the Cinemateca Brasileira, in São Paulo, will bring together important names with the aim of discussing black narratives in audiovisual. Tickets are sold out, but it is possible to follow the contents of the main room, which will be broadcast live on Canal Futura. It is also possible to watch it on Globoplay.

According to Ronald Pessanha, Social Value specialist at Globo, the Negritudes Festival is a great conversation opportunity, offering a day of meeting and celebration among black audiovisual professionals with the aim of expanding this dialogue and bringing allies together. 

Among others, the Festival will address topics such as the creative process, black presence on screen, ancestry and Afrofuturism, black music and talent development. 

Names like Kenya Sade, Larissa Luz, Conceição Evaristo, Taís Araujo, Lázaro Ramos, Luana Sá and Alfred Enoch are confirmed. 3,000 people are expected to attend the event and participate in more than 10 discussion tables on three simultaneous stages. There will also be pocket shows, stand-ups and film premieres.
