Born in Cidade de Deus, Igor Wesley, known on the networks and in the game as “Puma CDD”, found in Free Fire the realization of his dreams, achieved visibility on the internet and now wants to influence children from the favela to believe that there is room for they also in online games.

The influencer idealized a mix of course and tournament, in which 96 children, who already play Free Fire in the favela, will learn new techniques and improve the way of playing, forming teams of four players and competing during training that will take place every Monday. October fair, at the City of God Residents Association.

The training will receive children in two groups, 48 children in the morning and 48 in the afternoon, following safety protocols, such as distancing between players and providing gel alcohol at the entrance, in addition to the distribution of snacks during activities.

During the four weeks of training, the children will also compete against each other, forming 24 teams of four players. In the end, the two best teams will be sponsored by TPD E-Sports, Puma CDD’s professional guild, and will be able to compete in amateur Free Fire tournaments for cash prizes.

On social media, before putting this dream into practice, Igor shared with his more than 50,000 followers the intention to put this training into practice, as a real dream, as he stated in the video published in February 2021.

The gamer believes that games can be a path of fulfillment for many children, but also an alternative for them not to get involved in crime, as he himself did in the past.

“When I was there, there were many deliverances that God gave me. So, God left me alive until today so that I can give this testimony and maybe an opportunity for the kids, so they don’t go down these wrong paths. We are favelados, we are dreamers, but we are capable of achieving what we want in our lives. Just have opportunities”, concludes Igor.

What is Free Fire?

For those who are not involved in the world of games, Free Fire is a mobile game (Android and IOS) that works on any smartphone, even the most basic models, and this is one of the main reasons for its popularity.

The game was the most downloaded in the world in 2019, among iPhone and Android users. Specialized websites point out that accessibility is the high point of the game, as it inserts different social “bubbles” into the same space.

The game genre is Battle Royale, where multiple teams battle on a map that gets smaller and smaller, making players closer and closer. Battle Royale is a sub-genre of multiplayer action games, but it was taken to a higher level after the success of PUBG, Fortnite and, currently, Free Fire, as one of the biggest successes of this type of game.
