If the funk beat accelerated with the arrival of 150BPM, the carioca scene will gain new rhythm and speed through the #estudeofunk program, which consists of an artistic acceleration aimed at developing carioca funk talents. The project is conceived by Fundição Progresso and Viva Brasil, sponsored by BEATS, the State Government of Rio de Janeiro and the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, through the State Law of Incentive to Culture.
The acceleration program is aimed at young artists, MCs, DJs, dancers and producers who work in the area and who want to record songs, video clips, develop creative skills and body expression, as well as connect with the music industry processes.
A 700 m² warehouse at Fundição is undergoing renovations and will feature a music recording studio, a multipurpose space for audiovisual works, photographic essays, a dance rehearsal room, a space for courses, workshops, workshops and performances, in addition to equipment and technical support for creative activities.
The funk movement has its own cultural expression, but not everyone who lives that culture has access to production and education resources, or the chance to connect professionally with the industry.
Fundição is one of the main stages of presentation in the country, which has already held several shows and funk events. In addition, it is a school, a space for research, for the study of artistic expressions, which now has a kind of laboratory.
