The project supports students through cultural and environmental activities

The Acorde project promotes human development in children, adolescents and young people living on the outskirts of Embu das Artes and Cotia, through meaningful experiences in arts, culture and sports, strengthening them for future choices.
The initiative offers free after-school activities, which seek to stimulate creativity, protagonism, the development of social skills, healthy coexistence and expansion of the repertoire, bearing in mind that access to quality comprehensive education is a right for all children and teenagers.
The activities are aimed at children from 6 to 9 years old, and seek to collaborate with the process of socialization and personal development of the little ones, in the construction of their identity and in the group relationship, having play as the main tool.
Conversation circles, games and popular songs
They are carried out between the little ones, conversation circles and games with its playful, poetic, musical and dynamic characteristics, in addition to the use of Brazilian popular songs and dances.
For teenagers between 9 and 14 years old and for young people between 15 and 18 years old, activities are offered that can help them explore their potential, find vocations and desires and promote protagonism. The workshops offered are: fine arts, music, theater, cooking, sports, taekwondo and environmental education.
Community Cultural Center in Embu das Artes
The Cultural Center is an active partner of the community, working to guarantee the rights of the three thousand families in Jardim Tomé in Embu das Artes (SP). A space for acquaintanceship, leisure and open development is available for people.
The purpose of the space is to strengthen the community and make the residents take ownership of the space, promoting community acquaintanceship. In addition, lectures, courses and workshops on photography, languages, sewing, rhythms, capoeira, football, taekwondo, guitar and cooking classes are offered.
Acorde provides an innovative program for professionalization and access to work that guarantees income generation and employability rates that are superior to current statistics, aimed at adolescents and young people aged between sixteen and twenty-one years.
How to accompany and support the “Acorde” project
It is possible to support the Acorde project as an institutional partner, allocating resources to the projects by the Children and Adolescents Fund and through the Federal Sports Law, or by renting the space for meetings and events.
People can also contribute by donating products for sale at the bazaar, performing corporate volunteer actions or as a partner in the organization’s thematic actions and events.
